Our Philosophy

Alpha Veterinary Hospital is committed to providing personal, compassionate care to your pets using the highest quality veterinary techniques by experienced, competent professionals.

 Our Credentials

Serving Bucks County since 1976, Alpha Veterinary Hospital gained recognition by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) as a Member Hospital in 1988. Alpha continued to meet and surpass the highest standards of excellence in areas critical to proper animal health care and was awarded the full 4-year accreditation by AAHA in 1995.

Only 10% of all veterinary hospitals are AAHA accredited. Member hospitals must meet rigorous standards in 12 specific areas, such as examination facilities, emergency services and surgical procedures.

AAHA is a voluntary organization established in 1933 to raise the standards of animal hospitals and to provide pets the best care possible. Members remain current in their practice skills through continuing education programs and publications.

Location

Located in the heart of Bucks County, Alpha is conveniently situated in the Pennridge area -- midway between Doylestown and Quakertown.

On Your First Visit to Alpha

Many of our clients have asked what to bring along on their first visit. It is very helpful if you have a copy of your pet's medical records. Even a few notes of your own indicating age, special characteristics, previous illnesses or problems are often beneficial during the first visit. If you've selected your pet from a breeder, he or she will give you papers showing what care has been provided.

After Hours and Emergency Services Coverage

If you have an emergency during regular office hours, it is best to call ahead, if possible, so we can be ready to assist you and your pet.

If your pet has an emergency after office hours, call our regular office number and follow directions to reach us at our pager number. If we are not available, we will always have a local veterinarian on-call to help you. Just call our number and follow the instructions. The number is 215-257-4717.
